i absolutely loved your essay and couldn't agree more. i love Naomi Klein (i read this changes everything for uni) and i think she's one of the most forward thinkers we have today. i immediately subscribe to you and can't wait to read more of your work, love from Marseille <3

Thank you! I’m glad to hear it resonated with you. I just read Doppelgänger by Klein and totally agree with you - her work feels so smart and fresh, whilst not being too complicated to understand xo

Shortcuts always seem more appetizing in the start and we're almost conditioned like there's one for everything. Really enjoyed following your thoughts; no doubt theres more "being" out there on our way. More of this please.

Cheers! -JM

Oooooof. I feel this. Particularly the tired/sad purchases because some part of my brain convinces me these things will make my life better. For myself, I think it’s less about identity because I like to think I know who I am… but more the shortcut to happiness or contentment… which obviously it’s not.

Oh you’re soooo right here. Outsourcing happiness and contentment… buying stuff because it’s expending less energy than actually doing something worthwhile

Now I feel like I need to take a walk rather than buying another book 😅
